There may be some tendency to converge those rules based on experiences acquired through FTA/EPA negotiations and influence by “MEGA” FTA/EPAs. In this context, we are wondering why “Trade Agreement between Japan and the United States of America”, which came into force in January 2020, was concluded within such a short period as six months, and how provisions on ROO are formed? some of those may be derived from the provisions in the CPTPP to which both Japan and the US once agreed. Thus, this paper examines similarities and dissimilarities in terms of ROO provisions between this Agreement and the CPTPP, which both parties have already agreed on, as well as other FTA/EPAs., 長崎大学経済学部研究年報, 36, pp.1-66; 2020}, pages = {1--66}, title = {日米貿易協定の原産地規則~CPTPP との比較考証~}, volume = {36}, year = {2020} }
