One of the topics is how we create the relationships between universities and community in the future. This is a very important issue, especially for old national universities which are located in the provinces. We ran a survey on how the residents consider the presence of the old national universities and discussed how the universities should contribute to societies.\nThe survey shows that the residents recognize the presence of Nagasaki University as really important.\nAlthough they think about how important the presence of Nagasaki University is, they don\u0027t show much interest in it. Also, the residents are not involved in the university due to the insufficient number of opportunities to share their knowledge and their properties.
